The next 8-week group mindfulness courses start on Sunday 24th September 2017. Please drop me a line if you would like to know more or book a place for yourself. I run 4- and 8-week courses starting January, April and October each year.
Like many things, mindfulness is easier to learn with a group and an experienced teacher. I have an MSc in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and have taught the 8-week course over 60 times to a wide range of people. Many participants have commented on how supportive the group was in their learning. I am fully insured and supervised and follow the Good Practice Guidelines.
Mindfulness taster classes
I also offer introductory 'taster' sessions which are ideal for you if you are interested in mindfulness and would like to try it out before committing to a course. The next one is Sunday 10th September 5-7pm at Anahata, 119-120 Edward St. Brighton BN2 0JL. These sessions run for two hours and are an introduction to mindfulness practices, an opportunity to meet with me, and to ask any questions you may have about mindfulness. Regular mindfulness retreat days.
If you have completed an 8-week course in mindfulness practices, it can be helpful to come to one of the retreat days to support and refresh your practice (whether you have kept it up or not!) and meet others who have completed the 8-week course. |FREE Mindfulness Taster||10th September 5-7pm 2017. A chance to try out mindfulness for yourself with a selection of guided practices as well as time for questions and discussion. 5-7pm. Please get in touch with me to book as places are limited.|
|Mindfulness retreat day||12th November 2-7pm. A great way of deepening or refreshing your mindfulness practice, this retreat day will consist of a variety of mindfulness practices - body scan, sitting meditation, mindful movement and the ever-popular mindful tea and cakes. The retreat day is held largely in silence with time for discussion and questions at the end. £30 or £20 concessions.||About Balance, Above V-Bites 14 East St.|
When you click here to email me then I'll get back to you as soon as I can. If you're booking on a course then we arrange a time to talk on the phone (not needed for tasters and one-off events). This confidential conversation gives you a chance to find out more about the course, discuss your particular needs, and for us to get to know each other a little. After that, I'll send you a form to fill in, and when I receive your form and payment then your place on the course is confirmed. As my courses are often oversubscribed I ask you to do that within a week.
Refunds and cancellations
You will receive a full refund (less £10 admin charge) if you cancel a course more than a week before it starts.
If you cancel less than a week before the start of a course (including after the course has started) then I will not be able to offer you a refund. I may be able to offer you a place on another course without you needing to pay more.
However, if there are exceptional circumstances such as illness, I will offer you a place on a subsequent course or refund you half of the course fee.
On rare occasions I have to cancel under-subscribed courses. As I often get late bookings I make this decision as late as possible.
If I do have to cancel, I will give those booked two days notice by phone and a full refund.
